In close association with the Real Estate Transactions and Financing Department, the Tax Department lawyers are involved on a daily basis with the domestic tax aspects (direct taxation, registration duty and VAT) and international tax aspects (tax treaties and agreements and foreign taxation) of real estate transactions and their financing.
Real estate taxation requires a high level of technical skill and specialisation. The members of the Tax Department, who handle the French and international tax aspects of transactions at all stages in the real estate cycle, have developed these skills and expertise. They handle the taxation of financing, investments funds, construction project promotion, renovation and ownership, and the taxation of property dealers' and estate agents' transactions.
