The New York office, founded in 1984 initially as a representative office to be the main link between French and international clients of Gide Loyrette Nouel, has since grown to be an integral part of Gide’s international network of 24 offices and 700 attorneys worldwide, working alone and in tandem with our foreign colleagues to deliver comprehensive advice on American, English, and French tax, capital markets, and finance law.
Supervised by resident partner Robert MacDonald, our highly skilled team of bilingual and multicultural lawyers has extensive combined experience in the United States and broader global finance markets, operating within a vast network of American and international lawyers globally.
Our New York team, working closely with our London and Paris offices, operates as part of Gide Loyrette Nouel’s International Tax Practice Group and International Finance Practice Group (the former consisting of nearly 60 attorneys in 15 offices and the latter consisting of over 130 lawyers throughout Europe, the United States, Asia, Northern Africa, and the Middle East).
Focusing on tax, capital markets, asset finance, structured finance and securitization, lending, investment funds, derivatives, project finance, and mergers and acquisitions, our attorneys advise U.S. and international investors including corporations, partnerships, funds, and high net worth individuals who wish to make investments in the United States and abroad.
