The New York office, founded in 1984 originally as a representative office, has since grown to be an integral part of Gide’s international network of 24 offices and 700 attorneys worldwide, working alone and in tandem with our colleagues in other offices to deliver comprehensive advice on US, English, and French finance, tax and capital markets law.
Supervised by resident partner Robert MacDonald, our highly skilled team of bilingual and multicultural attorneys has extensive experience in the United States and broader global finance markets.
The New York team, working closely with our London and Paris offices, operates as part of Gide’s International Finance Practice Group and International Tax Practice Group, the former consisting of over 130 attorneys throughout Europe, the United States, Asia, North Africa, and the Middle East, and the latter consisting of nearly 60 attorneys in 15 offices.
Covering the full range of finance transactions, including structured finance, commercial paper, lending, investment funds, and derivatives, as well as tax, capital markets, and issues of special interest to financial institutions, our attorneys advise US and international investors including banks, corporates, funds, and high net worth individuals on their cross-border transactions, operations, and investments.
