Find out about life at Gide and then make up your mind
If you would like to get to know us before you apply for a training contract, why not come in to meet us? You will visit our offices and find out for yourself what it is like to be part of the Gide London team. You will have the opportunity to talk to us informally and ask questions about training with Gide. We will show you around and introduce you to the current trainees. This will give you a valuable insight into the workings of the firm and the kind of transactions and cases we are involved in so that you can decide for yourself whether Gide London is the right fit for you.
Mary Nunn read international relations and politics at the University of Sussex. She came to visit us before applying for a training contact in 2010. She will be joining Gide Hong Kong as an international intern in April 2011 before starting her training contract in September 2012.
“Before I applied for a training contract with Gide London, I was invited to meet the lawyers and recruitment team informally. This made a real difference to the application process because I was able to ask questions freely without the pressures of an assessment day or interview.
As a result, I sharpened up my application because I had more substance to back up my motivation to work for Gide London. I had already felt the positive, stimulating atmosphere of the firm, as well as meeting the people I hoped to work with. I could now see myself becoming part of the team at Gide.
The next steps in applying for a training contract were also far less daunting because I already knew that the firm would be warm and welcoming.”
