7 December 2006 - Nicolas Audier spoke on the topic of "Recent Business Law Reforms: Initial Analysis and Future Prospects" at the seminar entitled "The Dynamic Role of Vietnam in International Economics: Opportunities and Reforms" organised by Ubifrance in Paris.

30 November 2006 - Gide Loyrette Nouel Warsaw participated to the first meeting from a series of legal diners organized by Rzeczpospolita, one of the most important dailies on the Polish market. Dorota Holubiec was asked to give her opinion and share her expertise on the subject "Are marketing services necessary for the legal market? In what way big and mid size law firms gain clients? Examples: Europe - Poland". The next debates will take place once a month and will raise issues concerning, among other things, the segmentation of the legal services market and the consolidation on this particular market.

28 November 2006 - The Offices of Algiers (Samy Laghouati), Casablanca (Hicham Naciri) and Tunis (Kamel Ben Salah) organised in Paris a conference entitled "The Maghreb: economic perspectives and investment opportunities" with the participation of Hubert Védrine, former French Foreign Minister, Moulay Hafid Elalamy, President of the General Confederation of Moroccan employers and the Saham Group, Reda Hamiani, President of the Enterprises' Directors Forum, former Algerian Minister of Commerce, Radhi Meddeb, President of the Comete Engineering Group.

24 November 2006 - The Offices of Kiev and Paris organised a breakfast meeting in Paris on the theme "Investing in Ukraine", with the participation notably of Hubert Védrine, former Minister of Foreign Affairs, his Excellency Mr. Yuriy Sergeyev, Ukraine ambassador in France, and Dominique Menu, BNP Paribas Representative in Ukraine. Some of the issues discussed were: Ukraine in the current European framework (Hubert Védrine), the future entry of Ukraine in WTO (Olivier Prost, Gide Brussels), the financing of enterprises (Dominique Menu), the legal and fiscal framework (Karl Hepp de Sevelinges, Gide Kiev).

9 November 2006 - Doan Chien ran a training session on European antidumping proceedings for Vietnamese businessmen. This training session was organised by the Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

7-8 November 2006 - Frédéric Nouel and Stéphane Puel spoke on the topic of "the provisions of the Financial Markets Authority general regulation and the Decree" at the Comundi Conference “OPCI-SIIC: les chantiers à mener” (Real estate collective investment funds - listed real estate investment companies: work still to be achieved), that was held in Paris.

17 October 2006 - Frédéric Nouel spoke on the topic of "Developments in OPCIs - real estate collective investment funds" at the I.E.I.F. Conference - “Où va l’immobilier français ?” (what future for French real estate investment?) held in Paris (Pavillon Dauphine).

October 2006-June 2007 - Gide Loyrette Nouel is a principal partner of the Forbes Regional Executive Meetings. Senior associates Michał Kubicz and Tomasz Janas will participate as guest speakers in 16 public debates focusing on the issues surrounding public-private partnership (PPP), which are due to take place in the capitals of each Polish region.The initiative, organised by Axel Springer Polska and held under the patronage of the Polish Ministry for Regional Development and British Embassy, will promote the main elements of the Government’s strategy for national development. They participated in several debates as guest speakers on subjects such as Business and Management, Fuels, the Power Industry and the New Economy, in particular on the issue of Public-Private Partnership (PPP).

12-15 June 2006 - Colin Mercer, Gilles Saint Marc and Margaret Boswell participated in the "Tenth Annual Investors’ & Issuers’ Summit On Global Asset Securitisation" which was held in Barcelona. Colin spoke on the topic of "Private Equity Fund, Hedge Fund, and Fund of Fund CDOs" and Gilles spoke on the following topics: "Risk Transfer between Insurance and Capital Markets: Structures, Pricing & Ratings" and "The Impact of Legal and Regulatory Developments in the French Market".

12 June 2006 - Alban Caillemer du Ferrage and Serge Tatar took part in the ISDA Documentation Conference held in Paris (Marriott Hotel, Champs-Elysées, Paris 8e). They spoke on the topic of "Regulatory developments in France (Regulatory issues in equity derivative transactions in France and EU Tender Offer Directive)".

1-2 June 2006 - Gilles Saint Marc took part in the 2nd Annual Asian Securitisation conference organised by IMN, held in Hong Kong (Conrad Hong Kong). He spoke on the topic of "China Securitisation - Is today's legal framework sufficiently securitisation friendly?".

19 April 2006 - Song Liwei spoke in the "WTO China's accession and beyond" conference organised by the European Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai. His address was on the topic of "Trade Defence Instruments".

18 April 2006 - The Beijing Office hosted a breakfast meeting on the topic "Anti-Monopoly Law in China". The Beijing Office was very proud to announce that the guest speaker was Mr. Shang Min, General Director of the Department of Treaties & Law at the Ministry of Commerce.
