19 April 2005 - Gide Loyrette Nouel Warsaw advises the Treasury on the selling of FSO, one of the bigger car firms in Poland:

Gide Loyrette Nouel’s Warsaw office has acted as legal adviser to the Polish Ministry of Treasury during the transaction aiming at selling 80 % of voting rights in the domestic car manufacturer FSO to Ukraine's AwtoZAZ. Gide Loyrette Nouel was asked to prepare contract documentation which will secure the interests of the State Treasury, including the continuation of car production and the terms for further development. The firm has also participated in negotiations thereof.

The agreement between FSO and AwtoZaZ sees the introduction of, among others, a new car model in 2007 and bringing the company’s output capacity to 150,000 new cars annually in 2009.

By that time the Polish car producer will be one of the leading in Eastern and Central Europe.
