9 September 2009 - Gide Loyrette Nouel bolsters Vietnam practice with the relocation of partner Jacques Bernard de Servigny and arrival of two legal specialists
Gide Loyrette Nouel (GLN) is pleased to announce the arrival of Jacques Bernard de Servigny as partner in charge of the Vietnam offices and the appointments of international trade specialist Tran Duc Son and finance expert Samantha Campbell. The developments form part of ongoing expansion plans for the firm in Vietnam and the South-East Asia region.
Jacques Bernard de Servigny was previously partner in charge of the Budapest office and has been the driving force behind the Firm’s activities in Central and Eastern Europe, overseeing the opening of four new offices in 16 years. He has considerable expertise in all aspects of corporate law including mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance. He also advises clients on construction and tax issues.
Tran Duc Son joins GLN from Mayer Brown JSM in Hanoi and was previously a legal consultant for the Vietnamese Government. His expertise focuses on international trade, mainly trade remedies (anti-dumping/anti-subsidy matters) and corporate law including mergers and acquisitions, real estate, corporate finance, banking and other investment-related aspects in Vietnam.
Samantha Campbell joins GLN's Ho Chi Minh City office following nine years at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in London. She pursues a broad-based international finance practice, which includes advising on a range of bilateral loan arrangements, acquisition financings, real estate finance transactions and debt restructurings, with an emphasis on highly structured project development and project financing matters. In addition, Samantha has considerable experience of cross-border joint venture arrangements and private acquisitions and divestitures.
