4 September 2009 - Gide Loyrette Nouel Casablanca advises Finance com and RMA Watanya on the acquisition of the Telefonica and Portugal Telecom stakes in Moroccan telecoms group Meditel

Spanish group Telefonica and Portugal Telecom have announced the sale of their joint 64.36% stake in Morocco's No. 2 mobile telecoms company Meditel for a total of EUR 800 million.

The buyers are Meditel's Moroccan shareholders Finance com (a holding of the Benjelloun Group and parent company of BMCE Bank), RMA Watanya (an insurance company), and Fipar Holding (a wholly owned subsidiary of the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion).
