2 May 2005 - Gide Loyrette Nouel advises Air Liquide in China on the signature of an agreement with a Chinese iron and steel company, Rizhao Iron & Steel :
Gide Loyrette Nouel advised Air Liquide with regard to the signature of a long-term agreement with a Chinese iron and steel company called Rizhao Iron & Steel, which is based in the south of Shandong Province.
Under the terms of this agreement, Air Liquide is to supply Rizhao Iron & Steel with large quantities of oxygen. It is going to set up a major air gas separation plant which will be operational at the beginning of 2006. On 1 April 2005, it took over two existing plants and intends to improve their operational efficiency and increase their production capacity.
In total, the three plants represent an investment by Air Liquide of some US$ 40 million. They will have a combined production capacity of around 1 400 metric tons per day. They will enable Air Liquide to satisfy the requirements of Rizhao Iron & Steel and to supply other local industrial customers with oxygen, nitrogen and argon. |
