20 September 2011 - Gide Loyrette Nouel advises ATIC Services on the privatisation of the Port of Gdynia :

The Warsaw office of Gide Loyrette Nouel has advised French group ATIC Services, a European leader in the supply of logistics services, on its acquisition of 100% of shares in Morski Terminal Masowy Gdynia sp. z o.o. (MTMG Sp. z o.o.) from Zarząd Morskiego Portu Gdynia S.A., signing a thirty-year lease agreement, and on matters relating to employment issues and the social benefits package.

The value of the transaction amounts to PLN 60,303,760 (EUR 14.9 million).

The transaction was supervised by Robert Jędrzejczyk, legal counsel and partner in charge of the Energy and Infrastructure department at Gide Loyrette Nouel Warsaw.

Robert Jędrzejczyk believes the transaction will lead to further development of the trans-shipping activities at the port, contribute to securing jobs at MTMG Sp. z o.o. and enable its employees to develop professionally. He emphasised the non-standard character of the transaction, which was based on a long-term lease of the port. Furthermore, by concluding this transaction, Zarząd Morskiego Portu Gdynia performed its obligations under European law to ensure competitiveness in the trans-shipping market.
