9 May 2011 - Gide Loyrette Nouel announces new China partner:
Gide Loyrette Nouel (GLN) is pleased to announce the appointment of Zheng Yu as a local partner of the firm's Beijing office, effective from 1 April 2011. He joins five other lawyers appointed as local partners across the Firm’s international network (including affiliate firms).
A member of the Chinese Bar, Zheng Yu holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance and International Commerce from Shantou University and an LL.M. in Management from a joint programme between Zhongshan University and Shantou University. In 2003, he won a French government scholarship to attend a professional training programme at EFB, the Paris Bar School. Before joining GLN in 2004, Zheng Yu worked as an associate for five years at a local law firm in Guangzhou where he developed extensive experience in business-related practice and litigation. His practice mainly covers foreign direct investments, mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance, and dispute resolution.
Commenting on the appointments of Zheng Yu and the five other lawyers, Senior Partner Pierre Raoul-Duval said: “I am delighted to announce the promotion of these six outstanding individuals to local partnerships.
