24 November 2005 - Organisation of the "GLN China Prize 2005" in Shanghai, an award intended to promote interaction between French and Chinese lawyers.

For the second consecutive year, Gide Loyrette Nouel is organising a competition which is open to all Chinese, final-year LL.M. students. The "GLN China Prize" is awarded every year, in alternation between Beijing and Shanghai, with the active participation of some of the cities' universities.

The Firm's partners in Shanghai are the prestigious Fudan University and East China University of Politics and Law. The "GLN China Prize 2005" will be awarded on 8 December 2005 to six competition winners by the resident partners of the Firm's Shanghai office,
Han Qimeng and David Boitout, in the presence of the head of university co-operation at the French Consulate in Shanghai and various important representatives of the Chinese legal community, including the Director of the Shanghai Justice Office.

First prize will be a three-month internship with the Firm (2 months in Shanghai and 1 month in Paris).

Second prize will be a two-month internship with the Firm in Shanghai.

Third prize will be a gift of law books
