19 April 2010 - Gide Loyrette Nouel advises Voies Navigables de France (VNF)  on setting up the Seine-Nord-Europe canal's multimodal platforms:

Voies Navigables de France, the Inland Waterways of France, has selected Gide Loyrette Nouel to take part in the study, implementation, and operation of the development organization that will oversee the development of the ports and the logistical and industrial activities of multimodal platforms implanted along the Seine-Nord-Europe canal.

During the four-year project, Gide will support VNF in its ongoing discussions with both local authorities and stakeholders in the development of the platforms. Its legal advice will define the tools - especially contractual - necessary to organize the structure's governance and to facilitate its future operation.

The current mission for VNF follows Gide's preliminary evaluation, organization, and launch (Summer 2009) of the tender process for a partnership contract relative to the exploitation of the Seine-Nord-Europe canal, for which the competitive dialogue phase is about to begin.

Several Gide teams will be involved in this mission, which will be led by the PPP-Public Law Department (Laurent Deruy, partner, Lionel Levain, Alexandre Gauthier, Etienne Amblard, and Antoine Coursaut-Durand). They will be supported by our corporate teams (Didier Martin, partner, Marie-Pauline Bal), real estate operations and financing (Hugues Moreau, Jean-François Levraud), and the Office in Brussels (Olivier Prost, partner, Cyrille Hugon).
