4 November 2011 - Gide Loyrette Nouel awards its Scholarship of Excellence for the fourth consecutive year in its partnership with Sciences Po:
As a partner of the Institut d'Etudes Politiques (Sciences Po) for several years, Gide Loyrette Nouel is delighted to award for the fourth consecutive year its Scholarship of Excellence to a student with an international background on the Master in Economic Law programme. Worth EUR 12,000, this scholarship is granted to a first-year student following the Master in Economic Law or Master in Judicial and Legal Professions. The award also includes a six-month internship for the student at one of the Firm's offices.
"The remarkable diversity of students' backgrounds and course content is a sign of the synergies that have been built up by Sciences Po Law School and partner faculties around the world. This international vision, which is perfectly in keeping with Gide Loyrette Nouel's philosophy of openness, helps talented young people from all horizons gain a foothold in the French legal market," enthuses Pierre Raoul-Duval, the Firm's Senior Partner.
The Gide Loyrette Nouel Scholarship of Excellence 2011-2012 has been awarded to Bob Zeller, first-year student in the Master in Economic Law programme.
Erwan Le Douce-Bercot, partner in the Firm's Real Estate practice group says, "Bob Zeller meets all the criteria for the scholarship in terms of his outstanding academic record, background and merit." Holding French and Dutch nationality, Bob Zeller is passionately committed to the study and practice of law. He has travelled widely and his varied work experience in France and other countries, including a recent eight-month internship with a law firm in Lima (Peru), testify to his ability to adapt to all types of environment and his very real interest in working overseas.
