7 January 2008 - Gide Loyrette Nouel Paris advises Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations over the process of outsourcing 57 hotels belonging to the Accor group:

Gide Loyrette Nouel advised the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations which was a co-investor (in a consortium with two investment funds managed by Axa Real Estate Investment Managers) over the process of outsourcing of 47 hotels in France 10 hotels in Switzerland belonging to the Accor Group (sale and lease back). 
 
The deal will take place with a value of  €518,000,000 by way of the sale of assets to two investment vehicles, of which an OPCI takes the form of a SPPICAV.  

The decision by investors to use an OPCI allows the Accor group the possibility of benefiting from a tax reduction to a rate of 16.5% on the appreciation gained through the selling of the French assets. This investment vehicle benefits from a tax regime comparable to that of a Listed Property Investment Company - SIIC (absolved of business taxes as long as certain distribution rules are observed).  

The investment in the acquisition will be distributed equally between the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, the European Hotel Venture fund and The Alternative Property Income Venture.
