26 February 2009 - Gide Loyrette Nouel Paris, legal counsel to Natixis in negotiations for the sale of 35% of Caceis capital:

Gide Loyrette Nouel is advising Natixis in its exclusive negotiations  for the sale in cash of a 35% stake in Caceis to Crédit Agricole S.A. for €595 million. This transaction values Caceis at €1.7 billion. In a statement issued on 25 February 2009, Natixis and Crédit Agricole S.A. announced that they had agreed terms for the start of exclusive negotiations. If these negotiations are successful, Natixis will retain a 15% stake in the capital of Caceis. 
 
Subject to obtaining the advice of employee representative bodies and the required authorizations, the sale could be finalized in the second quarter of 2009. This sale is in line with the strategic refocusing announced by Natixis in mid-2008 and implemented since then.
