31 May 2010 - Gide Loyrette Nouel advises Lafarge on setting up a holding company with Strabag:

Gide Loyrette Nouel has advised Lafarge, the world leader in building materials, on the setting up of a holding company with Strabag, the number one construction company in Central and Eastern Europe, to combine their cement activities in several countries in Central Europe. Pending approval by the relevant competition authorities, Lafarge will hold a 70% interest and Strabag a 30% stake in the new company which will have its headquarters in Austria.

The Gide Loyrette Nouel team comprised Antoine Bonnasse, Matthieu Roy and Alexis Pailleret (corporate aspects), Stéphane Hautbourg (competition law), Bertrand Oldra (real estate, construction) and Istvan Kovari (Hungarian law issues). Lafarge was also advised by e|n|w|c Natlacen Walderdorff Cancola (Claudia Steegmüller) on matters relating to Austrian law.
