Gide Loyrette Nouel is advising Grupo Planeta ( the leading Spanish media group and Spanish language publisher) on its proposed acquisition of Editis (which owns more than 40 publishing imprints, including Plon, Robert Laffont, Pocket, Bordas and Nathan).

Negotiations for the acquisition of Editis are conducted on an exclusive basis with the seller, Wendel Group.

The acquisition of Editis by Planeta will contribute to the emergence of a new leader in European publishing.
