8 July 2009 - Gide Loyrette Nouel Paris advises E.ON on its acquisition of a developer of photovoltaic projects in France:

E.ON, one of the world's largest investor-owned power and gas companies, announced that it has signed a share sale and purchase agreement for the acquisition of Conilhac Energies SAS (Conilhac), a developer of photovoltaic projects in southern France. With this acquisition, E.ON continues the rapid development of its solar activities in one of Europe’s most important markets for solar energy. Conilhac already worked successfully as developer of photovoltaic projects in southern France and has assembled a significant pipeline of photovoltaic projects at various stages of maturity. The acquisition will enhance E.ON´s capabilities to develop and implement photovoltaic projects on an industrialized scale. From 2007 to 2011 alone, E.ON will be investing EUR 8 billion in the expansion of renewable energy sources.

Gide Loyrette Nouel is regularly involved in the sale or acquisition of wind farm and photovoltaic projects and this transaction once again confirms the expertise of Gide Loyrette Nouel in M&A transactions in the renewable energy sector.

E.ON was advised by partner
Nadège Nguyen and Edgard Nguyen for M&A aspects and by Véronique Fröding and Marc Péresse for the legal due diligence and the energy law aspects.
