17 April 2008 - Gide Loyrette Nouel Paris advises Energias de Portugal on the acquisition of three wind farms and several projects under development:

Energias de Portugal (EDP) announced that its renewable energy subsidiary, EDP Renovaveis, through NEO, has acquired, from Eole 76 and Eurocape, three wind farms located in Normandy with a gross installed capacity of 35 megawatts, as well as several other projects mainly located in Normandy and the Rhone Alpes region, representing an expected production capacity of 560 megawatts. The transaction was valued at 94.6 million euros (enterprise value).

Further to this operation, EDP, with 122 megawatts, has become the third largest wind farms player in France in terms of installed capacity.

This operation confirms the expertise of Gide Loyrette Nouel in M&A transactions in the renewable energy sector.
