23 December 2010 - Gide Loyrette Nouel advised Groupe Castel on its partnership with Groupe Vilgrain:

Gide Loyrette Nouel has advised the Castel Family Group to form a partnership with the Vilgrain Family Group around Somdiaa by merging the latter's activities with those of the Sucaf companies to create a leading group in the agro-industry sector in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The new structure will be a key actor in the sugar business while continuing developments in the milling, animal feed and cotton businesses as well as in other agro-industrial sectors in Africa.
