Gide Loyrette Nouel has advised BNP Paribas Securities Services (BP2S) - Europe's leading supplier of securities services and the world's fifth largest player in terms of assets under custody - a wholly owned subsidiary of BNP Paribas, with regard to an agreement concluded with Groupe Lagardère for the acquisition, on 1 January 2010, of Arlis, a subsidiary of Groupe Lagardère which provides registrar and related services to listed and non-listed companies. 
 
Arlis manages its clients' share registers, AGMs, dividend payments, securities operations, stock options and employee stock plans. Originally created to provide registrar services to Lagardère and its subsidiaries, Arlis now employs 27 people who serve some 350,000 shareholders from more than ten well known clients.
