24 May 2011 - International Tax Review European Tax Awards: Gide Loyrette Nouel named "French Tax Firm of the Year 2011":

Gide Loyrette Nouel (“Gide” or “the Firm”) was named "French Tax Firm of the Year 2011" at International Tax Review’s (ITR) European Tax Awards ceremony, which took place on Wednesday 18 May, at the Dorchester Hotel in London. The awards, now in their sixth year, recognise firms which have demonstrated examples of the most significant, innovative, and complex deals in Europe over the last 12 months. Notable work by the department in the last year includes: 

	Advising Areva's Supervisory Board on the sale of its Transmission and Distribution (T&D) division;

	Advising SNCF on the acquisition of further interests in and the reorganisation of the Eurostar; and

	Advising ContourGlobal on the acquisition of two thermal power plants in Saint Martin and Guadeloupe from Siifelec.

Founded in 1990, ITR is a monthly magazine dedicated to international tax strategy and has established itself globally as the most authoritative magazine on the subject.  

This award follows on from the Firm receiving the French Transactional Tax Team of the Year Gold Trophy in 2010 from Décideurs.
