27 March 2006 - Gide Loyrette Nouel Hanoi is working on preparing statutory instruments to implement a new investment law in Vietnam:

Voted by the Vietnamese National Assembly in 29 November 2005, the investment law will come into force on 1 July 2006. Unlike previous legislation, it covers both domestic investment rules (private companies and State-owned companies) and foreign investment rules, thus paving the way for an increasingly uniform and liberal legal framework. 
 
All of those active in the economic sector are currently awaiting the publication of the implementing statutory instruments which will fill in the details of the legal framework established under the law.  

Gide Loyrette Nouel Hanoi is continuing its close co-operation with the Ministry for Planning and Investment in the preparation of these instruments.
