25 June 2007 - Gide Loyrette Nouel gets organised for the Euro 2012 championship:

Following the granting of organisation of the Euro 2012 football championships to Poland and the Ukraine, Gide Loyrette Nouel, which has offices in Warsaw and Kiev, has formed a transversal team in charge of handling its clients’ projects for this event.

This team brings together specialists in all the areas concerned: in particular, calls for bids, audiovisual, infrastructures, trademarks and sponsoring law, relations with sporting institutions, construction and property management, joint ventures and litigation.

The Euro 2012 team is jointly headed by Bertrand Oldra, a partner residing in Warsaw; Karl Hepp de Sevelinges, the manager of the Kiev Office; and Bruno Quentin, a partner and coordinator of the Sports Law team.

As Bruno Quentin noted: “We are probably the only international firm to have a multidisciplinary team in Sports Law, as well as offices in both Warsaw and Kiev. It was simply a matter of pooling these resources, both geographical and technical, in order to best respond to our clients’ expectations”. Moreover, as emphasized by Bertrand Oldra: “The team is highly responsive. Our Polish lawyers are very excited about the event. Gide has been in Poland for some 15 years now and has substantial expertise in all these fields. I’m thinking especially about “infrastructure” cases such as the construction of superhighways or stadiums”. Karl Hepp de Sevelinges notes in this respect that “our part in the organisation of the 2008 Olympic Games in China, where we have three offices, and of the 1998 Football World Cup in France, allows us to draw on well-established know-how. This multidisciplinary approach has been fully satisfactory and we intend to continue along these lines”.
