27 May 2010 - Chambers Europe Awards for Excellence: Gide Loyrette Nouel named "Law firm of the Year 2010: France"

Gide Loyrette Nouel (“Gide” or “the Firm”) was named "Law Firm of the Year 2010: France" at the Chambers Europe Awards for Excellence ceremony, which took place last week in London. The awards reflect a firm’s outstanding achievements over the past 12 months as well as Gide’s commitment to pursuing strategic growth and providing excellent client service. Joanna Thomas, co-editor of Chambers Europe, commends Gide Loyrette Nouel as, "A firm which consistently impresses both its peers and clients for its in-depth knowledge of legislation and the local business environment."

This award follows other leading distinctions earned by the Firm over recent months including "France Law Firm of the Year" at the PLC Which lawyer? Awards 2010. Gide Loyrette Nouel is cited as, "One of the few genuinely strong full service firms in the country. Can't fault the quality of their lawyers."

The Firm was also named "France Law Firm of the Year" at the 2010 IFLR Awards held at London’s Dorchester Hotel on 18 March. This is the third time Gide has won the IFLR accolade following victories in 2005 and 2006. The Firm was recognised for its work on two particular deals, including helping to structure French bank rescue fund SFEF as well as its role on Eurazeo's convertible bonds in Danone.
