22 December 2005 - Gide Loyrette Nouel advises the Eurogate-Contship / Comanav / MSC / CMA-CGM consortium in connection with the award of the concession for a second container terminal at the "Tangiers-Mediterranean" Port.
Gide Loyrette Nouel Casablanca advised a consortium comprising Eurogate-Contship, the Italian/German port operator, Comanav, MSC and CMA-CGM, Moroccan, Swiss and French maritime companies respectively, in connection with the award of the concession for the design, financing, construction, operation and maintenance of a second container terminal at the new "Tangiers-Mediterranean" Port.
Under the terms of the concession agreement between the "Tangiers-Mediterranean" Special Agency (TMSA) and the concession holder, valid for a term of 30 years, the concession holder has agreed to render the terminal operational by October 2008 and to invest more than 120 million euros between now and 2010. Total investment throughout the term of the concession will be in the region of 300 million euros.
In 2004, the Firm's Casablanca office advised the Maersk-Akwa consortium in its negotiations for the award of the concession for the first container terminal at the same port.
