In 2007, Gide Loyrette Nouel is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the opening of its office in Brussels, the capital of Europe.

On this occasion, the Frm is hosting a dinner debate on 22 November in Brussels on the topic "Europe, Competitiveness & Globalisation: A Time for Choices". Guest speakers will include JoaquĆ­n Almunia, European Commissioner for Economic and Monetary Affairs and Jean-Pierre Jouyet, French Secretary of State for European Affairs.

Gide Loyrette Nouel was a pioneer among international law firms when, in 1967, it established its office in Brussels, the heart of the European affairs.

By virtue of its presence in Brussels and its practice of European law spanning more than forty years, Gide Loyrette Nouel has an in-depth knowledge of functioning of the European institutions (Commission, Parliament and Council) and has set up a top tier practice in EC law.
